History of Westerhill Physiotherapy
The clinic was established in 1995, initially based in one room. 10 years ago the clinic expanded into a purpose-built barn.
Carol Baxter : Physiotherapist, Grad Dip Phys, MCSP, MMACP, AACP HCPC - Qualified from King's College hospital in 1988. With a keen interest in sport, Carol worked for a short time at Crystal Palace Sports injuries Clinic.She completed 2 years at St Bartholomew's Hospital, before moving to Guy's hospital where she specialised in treating musculoskeletal conditions and orthopaedics.
After successfully completing a 2 year post-graduate course to develop skills in treating musculoskeletal conditions Carol started working at Maidstone Hospital.
In 2002 she left the NHS to concentrate on her private practice. Since then she has developed the practice with the inclusion of Aqua therapy, acupuncture and just recently the addition of shockwave therapy. Specialising in musculoskeletal conditions, she has a keen interest in hands on treatment with manual therapy and developing specific exercise and rehabilitation programs. To support this she regularly attends courses and update her skills.
Carol has four children, enjoys playing tennis, riding and participating in sprint triathlons.
Jenny Lovett : Physiotherapist, BSc (hons), MCSP, HCPC, AACP - Jenny qualified from Kings College London in 2006 and has worked in both the NHS and private practice. She specialised in treating musculoskeletal conditions at Guys and St Thomas' in London and moved into private practice in 2010. As a physiotherapist she treats all areas of the body and has worked on many sporting events including the London Marathon, Trois Etapes pro-am cycle series in France and Italy and as a physiotherapist for a rugby club.
Jenny has a holistic treatment approach assessing how the whole body moves to find the cause of your pain or dysfunction. She is a qualified Myofascial Release practitioner, practices dry needling acupuncture as well as Clinical Pilates. Jenny also enjoys working with patients in the pool for hydrotherapy rehabilitation.
Reception and Administration:
Charlotte Hodges - My name is Charlotte Hodges I am lucky enough to have been working at Westerhill Physio for the past 5 years in the roll of reception/administrator I enjoy interacting with all patients and make them feel welcome, comfortable and ensure that their visit to the clinic is a pleasurable one. In my spare time I look after my husband, our house and our 4 chickens, my children now having grown up and left home. I love to cook, exercise and generally socialise with friends and family.
